Jennifer Black

Jennifer Black has been a student in the Graduate Group in Ancient History and Mediterranean Archaeology at UC Berkeley since 2013.. 

Her research interests include Roman pottery, economics in the Roman provinces, the relationship between the ideology of emperorship and the provinces and issues of cultural identity in the eastern European provinces, especially Dacia.

She has participated in archaeological fieldwork in Romania, Croatia, Pompeii, and the Plains region of the United States. Since 2014 she has been a member of the Palatine East Pottery Project, where she has been engaged in the study of the regional finewares.
