Small bowl with flanged rim with thickened tip with sharp tooth on underside and grooves on upper surface and/or exterior face of rim flange (Hayes 70 Variant nn 1-7).
Description:
Small bowl with flanged rim with thickened tip with sharp tooth on underside (Hayes 70 Variant nn 1-7). Form of base not attested. Slip on all surfaces and decorative grooves on upper surface and/or outer face of rim flange. Range of rim diameters for this variant 13-14 cm. Hayes 70 manufactured ca. 330/350 - 440/460 CE.
