Jacob Phillips

Jacob Phillips has been a student in the Undergraduate Program in the College of Letters and Science at Berkeley since 2017. He is currently pursuing a major in History.

He has a wide variety of research interests in history ranging from the history of Europe between the two world wars and the Hellenistic period in the Mediterranean, particularly Ptolemaic Egypt and the interactions between the Greco-Macedonian pharaohs and the Egyptian priesthood. He is excited to get involved with the project and help preserve ancient history and learn more about Classics. He studied in Italy in 2016 where he was able to learn about Roman and Italian Renaissance history.

Jacob will be helping prepare pottery traces this semester to be uploaded to RES ROMANAE. He is interested in connecting with the material culture of the ancient world especially that of Rome.
