African Sigillata 1 Form 13

Beaker (probably Hayes 135, perhaps Hayes 131).

Thin-walled beaker with small everted rim and sloping shoulder.  Remainder of form uncertain, though presumably has one vertical strap handle and a turned disk base, with body perhaps undecorated or decorated with chattering or dimpling.  Glossy slip on rim and upper wall on interior and exterior and presumably all of exterior.

Hayes 1972, 178, 180; Atlante I, 38; Serrano Ramos 2005, 235.
